About the Center…
In 2019, the St. Charles Ave. Baptist Church launched a sister organization, the St. Charles Center for Faith + Action. Working at the intersection of sacred story + social justice, the Center seeks to build a broader, more diverse community of people of faith and conscience working actively to make a more just and equitable world.
Paige Davis - Executive Director
As Executive Director of the St. Charles Center for Faith + Action, Paige (she/her) brings a deeply personal commitment to the intersection of faith and social justice, informed by her lived experience, community work, and transformative leadership.
Originally raised in a fundamentalist tradition, Paige was drawn to service from an early age. Her worldview began to expand during time abroad teaching refugees in Greece, igniting a passion for caregiving and global community. After settling in New Orleans 14 years ago, she worked across human services and education institutions, where she was introduced to anti-racism and restorative justice practices.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Louisiana State University and is currently completing her Master’s in Nonprofit Administration, further grounding her work in the theory and strategy needed to lead sustainable change. She is also a proud alumna of the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s 2023 Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans (EPNO) cohort, where she deepened her commitment to equitable giving and inclusive leadership.
Her personal journey—coming out as a lesbian, raising her biological and adopted children, and redefining her understanding of justice and faith—has shaped her commitment to empathy, accountability, and transformation. As a board member of PFLAG New Orleans, she has helped support, educate, and advocate for LGBTQ+ communities, emphasizing patience, inclusion, and continuous growth.
Paige leads with hope and a steadfast belief in the power of community. At St. Charles Center for Faith + Action, she envisions a more just Greater New Orleans—one rooted in authentic relationships, equitable spaces, and moral action.
